Our Story

Our journey began in 2012 looking for rare and unique wines around the to build an exclusive selection for a private wine club.

Wine Embassy Beverages is a California-based importer and distributor of fine wines that was founded in 2012 by Andrew Johnson. Since its inception, the company has exclusively represented boutique producers who meet strict criteria for authenticity, quality, and value. Wine Embassy Beverages’s portfolio boasts a diverse selection ranging from up and coming gems to the some of the most prestigious and sought after wines in the world.

In 2018, an investment was made into the company by VINOE SAS., an exporter based in Spain that distributes to over 50 countries and every major wine market worldwide. Together, the companies have formed a new import division, VINOE SAS., and have since built a nationwide distribution network that now reaches every wine market in the United States.
